Growing up as a geologist’s daughter, I moved every few years of my life. I grew to appreciate my mother’s ability to artfully arrange our possessions and make a home while understanding the albatross that having “stuff” could be.

From my time as an art historian through to being an artist, I’ve been deeply interested in how humans process their environment - how light, colour, proportion, balance, texture and objects inform our experience and sense of self.

In 2007, I chose to focus my interior decoration practice on something I didn’t see offered, “holistic interior design coaching”: helping clients problem-solve situations and consider their lifestyle and needs to redesign and style their homes, often with no more than what they already owned.

Heavily influenced by Marie Kondo’s “Spark Joy” book, I ultimately took her KonMari certification course in 2021 after successfully employing her tidying strategy in my own life and reaping the benefits. My style of organising is not Konmari, however, as I find the time commitment required for most people to fulfil the tidying journey impractical.

I am in my element when spreading my passion and helping provide guidance on design, organisation and decluttering. I believe in the power of spaces to transform.
